Glowing Heart Therapy (“I,” “me,” or “my”) is the private psychotherapy practice of Rosa Portillo, MA, MS, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #165201). This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

 

Your therapy records are protected separately

If you become a client, your health information is protected by HIPAA and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. How I use and protect that information is described in my Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive during intake. This website policy does not replace that notice.

 

Information I collect

• Information you give me. When you use my contact form, email or phone, you may share your name, email address, phone number and a message.

• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. This happens through cookies and similar technology used by my website host, Wix.

 

Please do not send detailed health or crisis information through the contact form or regular email. These channels are not designed for confidential clinical communication. We can talk about details by phone or in a secure session.

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.

 

Services that help me run my practice

I share information only with service providers that help me operate, and only as needed for that purpose:

 

• Wix hosts this website and processes contact-form submissions.

• Carepatron is my secure client portal for intake forms, scheduling and records.

• Headway, Rula and Grow Therapy handle insurance verification and billing for clients who use their insurance through them. Each has its own privacy policy, which you agree to when you create an account with them.

 

I may also disclose information when required by law, such as a court order, or to protect someone’s safety.

 

Cookies

Wix uses cookies to make the site work and to measure basic site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features may not. This site does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

 

How long I keep information

I keep website inquiries only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Client records are kept as required by California law and professional standards, as described in my Notice of Privacy Practices.

 

Your choices

You may ask me to show you, correct or delete the personal information you submitted through this website. Contact me using the details below and I will respond within a reasonable time.

 

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information online. Therapy for minors begins with a parent or guardian.

 

Changes to this policy

If I update this policy, I will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
